HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty-five years of experience helping individuals and couples. I trained directly with Dr. Patrick Carnes to become a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and have published several articles on related issues. I teach at U.C. Berkeley (Redwood City extension) and Santa Clara University and provide consultation and training to Bay Area treatment centers.
The depth and range of my training allows me to individualize my work to better meet the unique needs of each person. Through in-depth therapy, education, skill-building, and relationship counseling, long-standing problems can be effectively resolved.
I strongly support both 12-Step program participation and couples therapy, as research has shown these factors greatly increase the chances of long-term healing and recovery.
